How to observe

In the interests of transparency and accountability, members have the right to observe meetings (except when confidential matters are discussed). You’ll normally need to register beforehand as follows:

June

Nominations opened on 2 June for Leadership Election and GPEx Elections (all positions) – see all the important dates at 2025 Internal Elections Timetable

Mon 2 Jun 7.30pm – Equality and Diversity Committee meeting – see How to observe

Thu 5 Jun –  (17 weeks before Autumn Conference) Agenda Forum opens for Motions to Conference. NB: with the closure of Green Spaces in Feb 2025, there is currently no forum, but we are assured that one will be up and running in time.

Fri 13 Jun 23:59 – Deadline for nominations for West Midlands Region GPRC Reps (x2) & DC Reps (x2). Candidates must send statement (max 200-words) and photo to elections@westmidlands.greenparty.org.uk and their two nominators also need to send a confirmation email with candidate’s name and the role they are applying for to the same email address.

Mon 16 Jun 5pm – Green Seniors committee meeting (as usual on the third Monday of the month)

Tue 24 Jun 7pm – Green Party Women Bookclub. Reading ‘In Control’ by Jane Monckton Smith. All welcome. Zoom link to attend: tinyurl.com/3m45c9fm

Sat 28 to Sun 29 Jun Green Party Regional Council 2025b – see How to observe. GPRC meets four weekends a year. Likely to be a hybrid of online and in person, probably in Derby. This GPRC weekend will include GPEx and the new CEO, Harriet Lamb.

Thu 10 Jul – (12 weeks before Autumn Conference) Pre-Agenda deadline (the latest date to float your idea for a motion on the agenda forum for discussion)

Fri 11 Jul 23:59 – Voting closes for West Midlands Region GPRC Reps (x2) & DC Reps (x2)

Thu 24 Jul – (10 weeks before Autumn Conference) First Agenda deadline (date by which final text of motions must be confirmed) and opening of Amendment Forum and Late Motions Forum.  Also, subject to confirmation, Co-Proposal deadline (date by which all proposers and co-proposers of motions must be confirmed)

August

Thu 7 Aug – (8 weeks before Autumn Conference) Publication of First Agenda 

Thu 14 Aug – (7 weeks before Autumn Conference) Prioritisation Ballot opens (when members vote on their preferred Motions to Conference)

Thu 21 Aug – (6 weeks before Autumn Conference)  Amendment draft deadline 

Thu 28 Aug – (5 weeks before Autumn Conference)  Final Agenda deadline 

31 Aug – House of Lords nominations

September

Thu 11 Sep – (3 weeks before Autumn Conference)  Publication of Final Agenda and deadline for Late Motions

Sat 20 to Sun 21 SepGreen Party Regional Council 2025c. GPRC meets four weekends a year. Note that this has been brought forward from 27-28 Sep (which was too close to Autumn Conference).

Fri 3 to Sun 5 OctGreen Party Autumn Conference in Bournemouth

November

Sat 22 to Sun 23 NovGreen Party Regional Council 2025d and AGM: the fourth and final GPRC Meeting of the year.
